How to write a recap script with AI
AI chats write a good first draft of narration, but only with the right material and clear rules. This is the workflow, with a prompt you can copy.
1
Give it the right material
- Numbered shots, one picture each, so every line points to its picture.
- The dialogue as text (AI misreads small lettering).
- Context: what happened before and who the characters are.
2
Set rules for every line
- 1 to 3 lines per shot, 8 to 22 words each.
- Present tense, like telling a friend.
- Explain, don't transcribe. Quote only lines that land a moment.
- Open with the stakes, end on the cliffhanger.
The prompt
Fill in the brackets and attach the numbered shots. Manga Recap Kit prepares the shots, the dialogue and a prompt like this for you.
You are writing narration for a YouTube manga recap.
Series: [name]. Before this chapter: [two sentences].
Characters: [name - who they are], [name - who they are].
I attached the shots as numbered images and the dialogue below.

Dialogue:
[paste][
{"unit": 1, "text": ["Kai has one night left to prove he didn't start the fire.", "And the only witness just left town."]},
